Beginning Drawing
Beginning level classes introduce you to drawing materials, techniques and terms. You will learn to see in a whole new way. You will learn to draw what you see.

This is an 4 week class with 2 hour sessions  on Wednesdays.  A minimum of 3 students and a maximum of 6.  40.00 per person.

Basic Painting
Learn the basics of painting in Oils and/or Acrylics. You decide which medium you want to use. Lots of explanation, demonstration and instruction along with a lot of painting.

This is an 4 week class with 2 hour sessions.   A minimum of 3 students and a maximum of 6.  40.00 per person.

Intermediate Painting
In the intermediate painting classes we explore a variety of ways to make a painting. Drawing skills, understanding values, color and the process of applying paint to a surface are emphasized. The goals are to learning how to think about painting and developing practical skills.

This is an 6 week class with 2 hour sessions  on Wednesdays.  A minimum of 3 students and a maximum of 6.  60.00 per person.

Intermediate Painting: Supply List 

Intermediate Drawing
In the intermediate drawing class, you will improve your ability to understand value, composition and rendering.

For advanced students we will address specific problems and materials. Portraiture instruction will also be offered at this level, if there is sufficient interest.

 This is an 4 week class with 2 hour sessions.   A minimum of 3 students and a maximum of 6.  40.00 per person.

Art Classes With Karen Parker

Art for "The Biggest Kids"

A veritable dabbler's dream of art making for those Adult Children who have never "grown up".  Tasty samples of a little drawing, a little painting, collage, printmaking and whatever else we have time for.

This is a perfect class for the kid in you who isn't quite sure they want to invest a lot of time and effort before they have tried it out.

Artist's Trading Cards
Artist's trading cards  are individual art miniatures that you can trade or give as a gift.

The base of the card and the art on the cards can be done in with any material or media.  They are fun to make, fun to trade.

Karen Parker is a Master Artist who has been teaching for 20 years to all age and skill levels. If you need some slight improvement or you want to make your work sing, she can how you how to improve.

Private lessons are also available for a variety of mediums, including painting and drawing at 15.00 per hour. * minimum 2 hours adults *minimum 1.5 hours children.
